This recipe is one of my favorite mistakes. Actually can you still call it a mistake if you've tried the recipe dozens of times, and it always comes out the same?!
The Pretty Bee has
lovely pictures of cookies that she made with essentially the same recipe I'm using, but mine melts into a giant, flat cookie blob every. single. time. Adam loves it though, and he named the crumbly mess "Cookie Brittle." Ah, a reckless baker like me can't help but love someone who deals with kitchen misadventures so gently.
He's right though... They are pretty delicious. Plus, the recipe ends with you breaking the solid chunk into cookie-sized pieces. And YOU get to decide how big that is.
It looks delicious, but my favorite part will always be that Adam loves even your (so called) mistakes.
